W Barcelonie kocham wszystko - począwszy od ulubionej drużyny sportowej, a na klimacie skończywszy. Wiem, że nie mogę jednoznacznie ocenić, bo nigdy tam nie byłam, ale mam w swojej wyobraźni wyraźny obraz tego miasta, zaczerpnięty z filmów oraz książek. Na literaturę hiszpańską trafiłam całkiem przypadkowo - z nudów zagadnęłam kuzynkę, czy nie ma jakiejś książki do poczytania dla mnie. Owszem, miała - nawet kilka. I tak się zaczęło. Najpierw była 'Katedra w Barcelonie'
Ildefonsa Falconesa. Potem zostałam oszołomiona przez ponad 900-stronnicową 'Uciekinierkę z San Benito', by w końcu trafić na popularną 'Grę Anioła'. Bardzo podobała mi się ta zagmatfania i wciągająca historia. A teraz całkiem przypadkowo znalazłam na półce z książkami mojej cioci wcześniejszą część, w której pojawia się ta sama księgarnia 'Sempere i Synowie' oraz Cmentarz Zapomnianych Książek. Jak tylko ją otworzyłam nie mogłam się oderwać. Opowiada ona oczywiście o Barcelonie po wojnie, wraz z młodym Danielem odkrywamy zamierzchłe historie, bo przecież każda książka ma jakąś.Polecam Wam gorąco!
I love everything in Barcelona - starting form my favourite football team and ending on special climate. I know that I can't clearly asses because I've never been there, but I have palpable view of this town in my head taken from books and films. I've found spain literature some time ago by a chance - I asked my cousin if she had some books which I could read because of being bored and she said 'Yes'. She gave me a few. At first there was 'La Catedral del Mar' by Ildefons Falcones. Then I was stunned by 'A refugee from San Benito' and I found popular 'Playing the Angel'. I really loved that embroiled and addictive story. And now by the chance again I came across book which is about time before 'Playing the Angel'. We can read something about bookshop 'Sepere and Sons' or Forgotten Graveyard Book. It's about Barcelona after World War II and we discover immemorioal stories of books (every book has one!!) with young Daniel Sempere. I recommend it to you!

I love your blog...what is this book about?
ReplyDeleteIt's about young boy who lives with his dad, they have a bookshop they love books. One day when he is 11 years old dad shows him the 'forgotten goveyard book' and he can pick one book and take it with him. He takes book by julian carax and he really enjoys it. But when he wants to read more books by julian carax he hears that someone burn them and now there's no in whole country, or even worl! Few people wants to buy it from him but he doesn't agree. I won't tell you whole book but then it's really interesting because he founds out the history of this coursed writer
